In The Unfit Heiress: The Tragic Life and Scandalous Sterilization of Ann Cooper Hewitt, Audrey Farley recounts the shocking true story of heiress Ann Cooper Hewitt, who sued her mother after discovering she had been secretly sterilized under California's eugenics laws. Blending biography with legal and medical history, the book examines reproductive rights, institutional power, and the lasting legacy of the American eugenics movement.

This is hybrid meeting, we will be meeting in person, but there is an option to join us virtually if you would like. Email mccref@slcolibrary.org for information.
