Join us for an Introduction to Mindfulness with our guest presenter Linnea, during the month of May as we focus on mental health and emotional well being.
Join us for a evening of Mindfulness Practice as we are instructed by our guest presenter Linnea.
Mindfulness is paying attention on purpose to the present moment without judgment (not judging the judging mind) and with curiosity (using the senses) and with kindness to oneself.
In this one-hour introduction class we will practice three introductory mindfulness exercises to help focus our attention on present moment experience.
We will sit on chairs, but you are welcome to bring a yoga mat.
We also will be having moments of silence during the mindfulness exercises.
This class will be instructed for those ages 16 and older, please.
Instructor Linnea Charnholm has her 100-hour mindfulness teacher training certification and is also trained in the mindfulness program Learning2Breathe.
