Children ages 6 to 8 learn the very basics of computer coding. Must be able to: turn on laptop, connect to WiFi, open a web address, maneuver a mouse. MUST know their letters and be able to write!
Using a software program that allows them to learn at their own pace, children create computer programs that will help them learn to collaborate with others, develop problem-solving skills, and persist through difficult tasks. They will study programming concepts, computational thinking, digital citizenship, and develop interactive games or stories they can share.
It is important that children attending these sessions be able to listen and follow directions. They should also be able to turn on the computer, connect to WiFi, open a web address, and maneuver a mouse/touchpad on their own. They MUST know their letters and be able to write.
