Durga Ekambaram is a Utah-based artist who is adept at using artwork to tell a story. Her passion for arts and interest in exploring the culture and traditions of India has inspired her to work on different mediums such as chalk, traditional Indian, and mixed media paintings. Having had several dedicated art displays about India, Durga hopes to provide a unique and insightful perspective of the nation. Her art has been displayed at several places in Salt Lake, including the Children’s Museum, Main Street (BLOCKS), Utah Cultural Celebration Center, Rose Wagner, Millcreek Library, and South Jordan City Hall. She has also performed in the Utah Arts Festival, demonstrating a unique painting technique known as upside-down painting.
