Dr. Cunningham-Bryant will explore the history, mystery, and enduring power of King Tutankhamun and the 100th anniversary of Howard Carter's discovery.
Alicia Cunningham-Bryant the Kim T. Adamson Chair in Honors and an associate professor at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, UT. She earned her Ph.D. in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations at Yale University specializing in Egyptology and has extensive experience as an archivist and curator at museums in New Haven, Connecticut and Philadelphia as well as having done fieldwork in Egypt, Jordan, and Mallorca. She was a U.S. State Department Education and Cultural Affairs fellow at the Cairo Museum and Nubia Museum. She has worked at museums around the world bringing together collections in an effort to decolonize history and currently serves on the board of the Utah Museums Association.
