A variety of STEM day camps presented by Salt Lake County’s Utah State University Extension Services 4H. A great way for curious minds to spend the day. Registration at the branch may be required.
This class is an introductory course to electronics and soldering. For the project, we will be building the circuit for an 8x8 (64 total) red LED matric and then programming an Arduino microcontroller to turn on and off the 64 LEDs in a low-res movie so that they blink in a pulsing heart pattern. Those that finish early will have time to program any low-res "movie" that they want for the LEDs. This project is a fun one for all that have never soldered before (and can be applied to the Electronic Merit Badge for the Boy Scouts).
