Clark Planetarium and the County Library are teaming up to bring you science, virtually! Recommended ages 7-12.
This Science Virtual take home activity is all about binary code, a language that scientists use to communicate with computers and robots. Binary code uses a pattern of 0s and 1s to represent the letters of our alphabet.
Did you know that NASA wrote a secret message in binary code on the parachute of Perseverance, the rover that landed on Mars in February of 2021?
Kits are free and have everything you need to learn how to decipher NASA’s secret parachute message and make your own binary bracelet that spells out the name of one of our favorite moons in the solar system. Recommended ages 7-12.
