Local Artist Vicky Lowe K’ulub will lead this storytelling and art based workshop exploring themes of nature, imagination, and community.
Artist and Educator Vicky Lowe K’ulub’s artistic practice focuses on continuing Indigenous stories, knowledge and practices. She illustrates the relationship between culture, nature, sustainability and social justice. She aims to highlight ancestral foods and cultural diasporic memories. She enjoys working with oils, acrylics, handcrafted paper collage, natural dyes and weaving. Vicky works as an art and Spanish teacher in Salt Lake City on a full-time basis while dedicating herself to personal art and community initiatives. She facilitates workshops across the state of Utah. Providing opportunities for the community to share about Indigenous history, stories and practices through art.
