Join local photographer Jeff Clay as he explores the fascinating world of infrared photography.
Jeff initially dabbled with infrared film photography four decades ago but with the advent of digital photography in the early-to-mid 2000s, his interest in this esoteric form increased significantly. He will share his personal journey along the infrared photography path over the last two decades and will discuss the different ways to photograph using the infrared spectrum -- types of cameras, filters, etc. -- as well as different types of processing you can do with your raw data. Jeff will also give some technical and historical background to the subject and of course share some of his favorite infrared images. Whether you currently shoot infrared or are perhaps just interested in the topic, the evening should cast photography in a different light! ** A librarian will contact all who register to see if they're interested in submitting any infrared photos of their own for discussion during the class.
